Against the odds: Virginia's renaissance leads to Sweet Sixteen berth

It's been a long road back to the Sweet Sixteen for the Virginia women's basketball team. But what a fun ride it's been.

After losing DeMya Walker and Monick Foote to graduation, most observers were already thinking of this year as a rebuilding season. And once high-scoring guard Erin Stovall jumped ship, the Cavs were left with ... what? Certainly not a team that could contend for a conference championship, much less a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. At least that's what the experts said.
