A big offseason looms for LaMonica and her squad, as they’ll look to learn from this season and come out strong next spring.
”Today was a tough one. We had some great opportunities, and we’re just not capitalizing on them,” LaMonica said. “We’ve got to execute things a little bit better in pressure moments. It’s just really what it’s coming down to.”
“I was proud of our draw unit today and Kate Galica with how she dominated,” LaMonica said. “It was unfortunate that we couldn't use that to our advantage today, on the offensive end and capitalize.”
Porter began the year with a loss in the Round of 16 of the Navy Classic Nov. 2, but has not fallen since.
“Our guys showed up today and got the job done,” Garland said.
Virginia survived a second half surge from Stanford to advance to the ACC semifinals.
