Special for Charlottesville

The special exhibit "Hindsight/ Fore-sight: Art for the New Millennium," opened throughout Charlottesville Saturday June 17 to the general public. The exhibit is composed of site-specific works inspired by the Jeffersonian culture and features both local and national artists. The numerous works can be found at several different locations throughout the summer and fall around the Charlottesville community, including the Monticello Visitor Center, the University of Virginia, the Downtown Mall and Montpelier. The exhibit, curated by Dr. Lyn Rushton of the Bayly Art Museum, is "unique to Charlottesville" because it features "a melding of both the local artist population and artists of national recognition," said Susan Foley, curator of Bayly.

The new fee, which started July 1, does not affect night and evening charges, which will remain at $0.50 an hour.
