Hartford bests Cav women's soccer, 1-0

The No. 18 Virginia women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking defeat to No. 13 Hartford Saturday, 1-0. The Cavs couldn't seem to bring it together after Hawks sophomore Susie Woodson scored in the 10th minute on a header which would be the game's only goal.

Though Virginia (2-2) took more shots on the goal than the Hawks (2-1), 17-7, they were unable to get the ball past Hartford goalkeeper Anne Lise Nilssen, who collected a career-high seven saves for her first career shutout.
