No bones about it: 'Monkeybone' fails

What do you get when you cross Tim Burton with the Farrelly Brothers and then aim it at kids? A very peculiar movie experience, that's for sure.

"Monkeybone," directed by Henry Selick of "A Nightmare Before Christmas" fame, attempts, yet generally fails, to successfully combine black and low-brow comedy into a world of eye candy. However, to the film's credit, its efforts in creativity and innovation should be duly noted.

Stu Miley (Brendan Fraser) recently has been rocketed to national fame due to his highly successful comic strip, Monkeybone.
