Despite Virginia field hockey goalkeeper Emily White making nine saves in the Cavaliers' make-up game at North Carolina yesterday, the Tar Heels (13-4) were still able to score three goals for a 3-0 shutout.

The Cavaliers (11-6) outcornered the Tar Heels in the first half, 2-1, but could not finish off either chance. The Tar Heels then scored again - both goals coming in the first 35 minutes - to put the game out of reach for the Cavaliers.

UNC then scored again midway through the second period to finish off scoring for the game.
