The National Association of Basketball Coaches picked Virginia junior guard Roger Mason Jr. and junior center Travis Watson as members of the 2002 Division I All-District 5 Team.

Selection as members of All-District teams makes Mason and Watson eligible for the NABC Division I All-America team, which is announced at the end of the 2002 season.

Mason, chosen for the NABC first-team, is the Cavaliers leading scorer, putting up 18.2 points per game. He also leads Virginia by averaging 4.5 assists and 35.3 minutes played per game. Over this season, Mason has the most field goals and three-pointers on the team (121 and 60, respectively) as well as the team's highest free-throw percentage (98-108, 90.7 percent).

Watson, a second-team selection, is the ACC's leading rebounder and posted his 14th double-double of the season last night against North Carolina. Watson averages 14 points per game and shoots 51.6 percent from the field. Among all active ACC players, Watson has the most career double-doubles with 35.
