Olympic committee calls for president's resignation

The U.S. Olympic Committee continues to be riddled with turmoil as its chief executive Lloyd Ward joined seven other top officials in calling for a letter of resignation from USOC president Marty Mankamyer.

Ward made public allegations against Mankamyer, calling into questions the president's ethics. Ward claims that Mankamyer attempted to undermine him in a campaign of "disparagement and character assassination."

The claims follow on the heels of a controversy that arose when Ward was accused of attempting to secure a contract at the upcoming Pan American Games in the Dominican Republic for a company where his brother was formerly employed.
