Softball to open home 2003 season this afternoon

The Virginia softball team is ready to take on Bowling Green University at 3:30 this afternoon at the Park to kick off its 2003 home season. So far this season, Virginia has had four games cancelled due to inclement weather. Virginia will host Stony Brook, Seton Hall, and Bowling Green in the Cavalier Classic this weekend. The Cavaliers are 10-11 on the season and will try to improve their record this weekend after winning the 49er Invitational last weekend in Charlotte, N.C.

But much of their work goes into planning summer orientation sessions. Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
