Virginia Wrestling Names New Assistant

Pat McNamara was named as an assistant coach to the Virginia wrestling program yesterday. Virginia head coach Lenny Bernstein appointed McNamara to the assistant position. McNamara, a 2001 graduate of Michigan State, was a three time All-American and went 108-28 in his collegiate career. McNamara will become Bernstein's second assistant on the Virginia squad alongside Jim Stanec and Joey Seay.

During the 1999-2000 season, McNamara became number one nationally in his weight class of 133-pounds.
