D'Brickashaw Ferguson, one of the Cavalier's very young and talented offensive tackles, was recognized as the ACC's offensive lineman of the week. Ferguson's play against Western Michigan, and particularly his play against All-American defensive lineman Jason Babin for the Broncos was more than enough to grant him honors. The sophomore used all of his 265 pounds on his way to collecting a 94 percent grade and preventing Babin, who recorded 15 sacks last season, from getting to Hagans.
This was Ferguson's first time being recognized as the ACC's offensive lineman of the week and the Cavalier's have two more weeks before Ferguson gets another chance at repeating his domination.
The Cavaliers will face Wake Forest at home next Saturday, October 27, at 3:30 p.m. on ABC-TV.
