Because there is no singular or correct approach in an educational world of individualized, class-specific policies, the University must mandate AI literacy training on the ethical, environmental and practical concerns for generative AI.
The Second-Year Council should not be alone in interrogating these systems, but rather, the University must earnestly recognize the stressors these processes mount on students.
This will lead to other universities — who have not already invested or focused on sustainability — to follow suit.
While gender-affirming care is one of the biggest ways U.Va. Health is falling short, it is not the only one.
We must applaud the University for the efforts they are continuously making to be more sustainable.
Perhaps, it may seem as though the University is hosting a decent amount of events, and criticisms of its engagement or genuineness sound nitpicky.
