The Virginia volleyball team traveled to Wake Forest Sunday only to be defeated in three games. The Cavaliersrecorded more blocks than the Deacons and nearly matched their opponent in hitting percentage, but were unable to take a game from their conference foe.
Virginia was led by a pair of seniors. On the offensive side, hitter Paige Davis had a team-leading 14 kills and a .316 hitting percentage. She also posted three blocks and a pair of digs. On the defensive side, libero Whitney Ashcraft recorded a match-high 20 digs for the Cavaliers.
