This girl does it all. Senior rower Jen Reck is a first-team All-American, an international silver medalist, captain of the 2003 ACC Crew of the Year and a national scholar-athlete working towards a degree from the Commerce School.

The Virginia men's swimming and diving team finished the season by placing 13th at the NCAA Swimming Championships held in East Meadow, N.Y.

Baseball legend Ripken speaks at Virginia fundraiser

Baseball great Cal Ripken Jr. spoke to more than 600 baseball fans in Memorial Gymnasium last night, sharing anecdotes from his childhood and baseball career before taking audience questions for more than 20 minutes. Ripken, who holds Major League Baseball's records for consecutive games played and home runs by a shortstop, was joined by his younger brother, former major league second baseman Billy Ripken, as the featured guest at Virginia baseball's 2004 Step Up to the Plate!

Virginia falls to Clemson

The Virginia women's basketball team lost, 60-56, in Clemson, S.C. Sunday. Playing their second ACC game of the weekend, the Cavaliers started the game with a strong 12-2 run, fueled by four three-point baskets from freshman Brenna McGuire.
