Wake Forest 45, Clemson 17 The defense provided two touchdowns, and Chris Barclay ran in two of his own in Wake Forest's rout of Clemson. Barclay ran for 163 yards in helping the Deacons break a four-game losing streak against the Tigers.

Maryland 59, UNC 21

The Terrapins set a conference record for most points in a quarter, logging 39 in the second thanks largely to three passing and one rushing TD by Maryland quarterback Scott McBrien. The Terps amassed 612 yards of offense en route to scoring exactly 59 points against UNC for the second straight season.

Florida St. 37, Notre Dame 0

The Seminoles shutout the Irish for the first time in South Bend since 1978. Chris Rix threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns. Craphanso Thorpe was his favorite target on the day, hauling in seven passes for 217 yards and two TDs.

Tennessee 23, Duke 6

The Blue Devils trailed only 9-6 entering the fourth quarter before the Volunteers added two TDs in the final frame to snag the win. Duke running back Chris Douglas had 128 yards on 29 carries in the loss.
