Burke runner-up at NCAA swimming championships

Rachael Burke finished second in the 1,500-meter freestyle Saturday night in the NCAA women's championships in College Station, Texas. The sophomore registered a time of 15:55.27, earning first-team All-American status for the second consecutive year.

As a team, Virginia finished 19th at the championships with 53 points, the team's seventh top-20 finish at the meet in seven years.

Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond.
