Men's tennis tops Texas, Georgia Tech

The Cavalier men's tennis team earned key wins over Spring Break by toppling No. 17 Texas and No. 39 Georgia Tech.

No. 23 Virginia opened its outdoor home season with its second victory over a top 20 team.

Virginia took the lead early against the Longhorns with a doubles point, but Texas rallied quickly with a singles win at No. 5. The Cavaliers then countered with two straight-set wins bringing the score to 3-1 and maintained the lead to take the match.

The Cavalier's 5-2 win over Georgia Tech kept Virginia on top in the ACC and continued its record 13-1 start.
