Virginia loses another football recruit for upcoming season to NCAA eligibility standards

Estimated reading time: 0 minutes

Last week it was the top-rated recruit in the state of Virginia, Olu Hall. This week offensive lineman Branden Albert failed to achieve high enough test scores to meet NCAA eligibility requirements.

Albert (6'7", 315 lbs.) will join Hall at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va., for the 2004-05 season. Both recruits remain committed to Virginia and plan to enroll for the 2005-06 academic year once they become eligible.

Albert attended Glen Burnie High School, just outside of Baltimore. He earned all-metro honors in football and basketball.
