Yesterday's editorial cartoon incorrectly attributed the recent voluntary DNA tests of possible serial rapist suspects to the Albemarle County Police Department. In reality, this effort was conducted only by the Charlottesville Police Department, and did not involve either the Albemarle or University Police Departments.

We would like to apologize to Chief John Miller, Lt. Greg Jenkins and the detectives at the Albemarle County Police Department for this error.
