How did you meet up at the start of the date?

Dave: I just picked her up in front of her dorms with all of her roommates watching.

Was your date on time?

Kristen: No!

D: I was about 15 minutes late, but she was on time.

Were you nervous?

K: No, not really, because I didn't really have any expectations for anything going into it.

D: No, not at all. Well okay, a little.

What was your first impression?

K: He was nice; he opened the car door for me. And he drives a red Corrado, which was great.

D: Very friendly, very intelligent and well-spoken.

Initially, did they seem like somebody who'd normally catch your eye?

K: He was good looking, but I didn't get butterflies or anything.

D: She wouldn't normally catch my eye.

Anything unique about this person that stood out right away?

K: I thought there was really easy conversation; no real awkward silences or anything. Neither of us are shy.

D: We didn't have a problem having conversation, so that was cool...That really struck me.

Where did you go on your date?

K: Northern Exposure.

How was your meal?

K: It was really yummy. I had egg-plant parmesan.

D: It was delicious, but we had to leave a little bit early because she had a play to go to.

Did you have at a lot to talk about at dinner?

D: Yeah, we talked about all sorts of stuff. We talked about first year-experiences, and high school sports; we were both runners.

Did you learn anything about the other person that you really liked?

K: He's a hang-gliding instructor, which is kind of cool. It was also cool seeing he spent his first year in the Engineering school, so then we talked about the different directions you can go if you decide to leave.

D: The fact that she's a runner, and that she commits a lot of time to doing well in e-school.

Anything really interesting?

K: I just thought he was a really nice person.

D: That she had a big interest of living at the beach.

Was there any chemistry?

K: Not really. But I called him earlier today to say thank you. He seems like somebody I'd like to know as a friend.

D: I don't really think that I felt any chemistry.

Any awkward moments?

K: No, not really.

D: Not really. Maybe when she kept apologizing for being messy when eating spaghetti, but that was just kind of funny.

How did the date end?

K: He dropped me off at the theater, and pointed out his frat on the way because they are having a party this Friday. I gave him a hug and that was it.

D: I dropped her off at her play, and told her where my house was if she ever wanted to come by and party.

Did you have fun?

K: Yeah I did. I had a really good time.

D: I had a really good time.

Would you like to see this person again?

K: Yeah definitely.

D: Yeah, I think it would be fun to hang out, but I don't know about going on a date again.

What were your overall feelings about the experience?

K: I'd definitely do it again; it was a good experience. All the girls on my hall want to do it now.

D: I thought it was really fun, and it was interesting to meet new people I probably wouldn't have met otherwise. And I got a free dinner.

Was this your first blind date?

K: No, my last one was awesome. We ended up dating for about three months. And we are still really good friends.

D: Yes, definitely my first.

Would you go on another blind-date, or recommend one to someone else?

K: Yeah, if I ever get hooked up again, I'm all for it.

D: Yes and yes.
