Rubeor named ACC Player of the Week

Junior attackman Ben Rubeor was named the men's lacrosse ACC Player of the Week yesterday.

Rubeor scored five goals and one assist in the Cavaliers' 12-8 defeat of Maryland Saturday. Rubeor, the leading scorer in the nation, took only nine shots to score the five goals.

In nine games this season, Rubeor has scored a total of 34 goals and picked up 49 points.

Haller named ACC Player of the Week

Freshman first baseman Kelly Haller was named the softball ACC Player of the Week yesterday.

Haller hit .583 with eight RBIs, two homeruns and a 1.083 slugging percentage in four games last week.

Haller is hitting .439 with 10 homeruns and 38 RBIs on the season.

This is the first time Haller has received the honor.

Devvarman named ACC Player of the Week

Junior Somdev Devvarman was named the tennis ACC Player of the Week yesterday.

Devvarman went 3-0 in singles and doubles last week against No. 39 Virginia Tech, No. 26 Clemson and No. 46 Georgia Tech. Devvarman, the No. 2 player in the country, receives this recognition for the third time this year.
