Santi named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week Virginia tight end Tom Santi was named ACC offensive lineman of the week yesterday after his offensive role in Saturday's 24-13 win over Duke. Santi recorded a team-high six catches for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

Santi became the first Cavalier tight-end to notch two touchdown passes since Heath Miller against Akron in 2004.

Time set for Georgia Tech game

The ACC announced today that Virginia's Sept. 22nd matchup with Georgia Tech will kick off at noon at Scott Stadium.

No. 8 Virginia women's soccer ties against No. 3 Santa Clara

Concluding the 2007 Santa Clara adidas Classic, the Cavaliers drew a 0-0 tie against the Broncos. The tie brought Virginia's season record to 2-1-1.

The Cavaliers dominated the first half, outshooting Santa Clara 4-2 before the break. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Chantel Jones posted her third shutout in four games.

Virginia will return home next weekend to welcome No. 20 Colorado to town for the Virginia Nike Soccer Classic.
