Fitzgerald no longer enrolled at Virginia

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported yesterday that sophomore defensive end Jeffrey Fitzgerald is no longer enrolled at the University because of an academic issue.

Rumors have been swirling about Fitzgerald's future since The Daily Progress reported Jan. 26 that Fitzgerald told his teammates he would be leaving the football program.

The program is no stranger to roster changes recently. This report treads on the heels of a Jan. 17 virginiasports.com release that sophomore quarterback Jameel Sewell, freshman linebacker Darnell Carter, junior cornerback Chris Cook and freshman wide receiver Chris Dalton were not enrolled at the University for the spring semester.
