Guanyu Lu and Baichuan Shu, the two second-year Engineering students charged with the kidnapping and extortion of a 20-year-old man in November, were brought to trial in Fairfax County Circuit Court yesterday afternoon. According to a Fairfax County Adult Detention Center employee, the trial was continued, and the students will next appear in court April 2. The students, who face felony charges, will remain at the detention center until that time.--compiled by Shea Connelly
