Seawolves are on the prowl in Charlottesville

Stony Brook University's baseball team comes to Charlottesville this week to play Virginia today and tomorrow.

No. 19 Virginia (14-4, 2-4 ACC) will look to rebound against the America East Conference'sSeawolves (4-5), as the Cavaliers have lost two of their last three games despite having senior pitcher Pat McAnaney selected as the Co-ACC Pitcher of the Week for his performance during the stretch.

The Cavaliers hope their offense will give them the upper hand as Stony Brook, which features two players batting at least .300. Eight of the 10 Cavaliers who have played in 10 or more games are batting better than .300.

Virginia has not lost a game this season to a team with a losing record, nor have the Cavaliers lost a game at Davenport Field this season.

The games against Stony Brook are the first in a 12-game homestand, which will feature games against ACC opponents Virginia Tech and Boston College.
