Cavaliers conclude fall season

The Virginia women's rowing team competed in the Rivanna Romp Sunday, concluding the fall portion of its schedule.

The Cavaliers finished with the top three times in the Varsity Eight, defeating Duke, Pennsylvania and Old Dominion. Junior coxswain Sidney Thorsten led the Virginia 'A' as the crew posted a time of 13:22.87. Then, in the Varsity Four, the Cavaliers placed first while also claiming third through seventh place. The first place Virginia 'A' crew finished with a time of 15:40.35. The only race that Virginia failed to place first in was the Novice Eight, in which the crews took third and fourth place, respectively.\nThe Cavaliers will begin their spring schedule March 12 in Marion, Va. against Michigan State.
