The Virginia women's soccer team (13-3-2, 7-2-1 ACC) ended its regular season at Clemson yesterday, defeating the Tigers 6-0 for the team's 10th shutout on the season.
The Cavaliers had three goals on the scoreboard by the 17th minute of the game - two goals from senior midfielder Sinead Farrelly and one goal from sophomore midfielder Erica Hollenberg within a three-minute span.
The attack later added three more goals in garbage time. Both freshman midfielder Shasta Fisher and junior defender Katie Starsia scored their first career goals and freshman forward Gloria Douglas tallied her fifth on the season.
Overall, Virginia had an advantage in both shots and corner kicks, 30-5 and 9-1, respectively.
The No. 3 seed Cavaliers will begin ACC Tournament play Wednesday against No. 6 seed Boston College in Cary, N.C.
