Installation closes lane

A lane of Rugby Road will be closed Feb. 22 to make way for the installation of an outdoor sculpture at the University Art Museum.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rugby's southbound lane will close from Bayly Drive to Fayerweather Hall, according to a University press release. During this time, flaggers will direct traffic while a crane installs a sculpture by artist Henry Moore.

The sidewalk on the street's west side will be closed, as well.

The courtyard on the Rugby Road side of the museum has been under renovation for the past two months. This renovation includes the addition of a paved terrace above the sidewalk for displaying public art.
