London revokes LB

Virginia coach Mike London reinstated redshirt junior linebacker Ausar Walcott to the football team yesterday morning.

London had suspended Walcott indefinitely, as well as junior center Mike Price and junior cornerback Devin Wallace, following the three athletes' Feb. 8 arrest in Harrisonburg, Va. Police had charged the players with felony burglary-entering a dwelling with the intent to commit an assault and three misdemeanor counts of assault and battery by mob.

During a preliminary hearing April 5, the commonwealth's attorney dropped the felony charges, and the judge dismissed all remaining charges against Walcott.

Price and Wallace, meanwhile, pled guilty to the misdemeanor assault accusations and remain suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team.
