Hyperactive sun storms

Researchers at Reading University have found that solar storms and decreased solar activity will become more disruptive of communications and aircraft in the coming years. Since the 1920s, the sun has been in grand solar maximum, where there has been increased solar activity, but it will soon shift into an era of lower solar activity. In this era, solar storms will be less frequent but will be more powerful, faster and carry more solar energy particles. These solar energy particles translate into more radiation which will have disruptive effects on aircrafts and communications. The sun will also have decreased solar activity as a whole, allowing more hazardous radiation from other galaxies to reach our solar system.
