Website ranks University architecture first

Top Colleges Online, a website which evaluates colleges and degree programs, released a list yesterday of the 50 "most amazing examples of college architecture" ranking the University first for the architecture of the Rotunda.

Web Editor James Arney said the site's editors were attracted to the Rotunda's "historical significance in combination with its aesthetically pleasing appearance."

"Just in general, it is a beautiful structure," Arney said. "From the beginning we figured that the Rotunda would be our number one."

The Rotunda is one of only three structures in the U.S. protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, according to the Top Colleges Online post.

Top Colleges Online also provides resources for prospective students and career guides.
