Sullivan makes statement on McDonnell's appointments

Below is a statement from President Teresa A. Sullivan on Gov. Bob McDonnell's new appointments to the Board of Visitors. Sullivan was reinstated to her position Tuesday in an unanimous vote from the Board after tendering her resignation June 10.

"Governor McDonnell used great wisdom in appointing these members to the University's board, and I am grateful for his understanding of the challenges facing higher education. This is a group of distinguished individuals - from higher education and technology to government and health care - who will be able to hit the ground running. Their collective expertise will be invaluable, as there is much work to be done"
