“Yes” wins in the Commonwealth
Virginia voters headed to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve a Democrat-led plan to redraw the state’s congressional maps ahead of this year’s midterm elections. The measure passed, with “Yes” winning in the Commonwealth. The new congressional lines will be in effect until after the 2030 census — the next round of redistricting — if Tuesday’s election results are upheld by the Virginia Supreme Court. Featured polling locations include the Miller Center, Slaughter Recreation Center and Trailblazer Elementary School.
