Some students may choose to ask out that special someone by doing something creative or unique, others may use more traditional means like flowers and still others may just do it in person or over the phone. Some students may resort to technology -- specifically, AOL Instant Messenger. Students who do this, however, may not be met with positive results. "If someone asked me out on AIM, I wouldn't take them seriously [because] you can't see facial expressions, and it's hard to interpret," second-year Education student Suzy Natz said. Other students said they don't even take the romantic potential of AIM into consideration. "I don't do it whatsoever," second-year Engineering student George Leffue said.
