Softball travels to JMU in doubleheader

The Virginia softball team (5-21, 1-8 ACC) will visit Harrisonburg as it competes in a two-game series against James Madison (17-6). The games were originally scheduled for March 4, but inclement weather postponed the games until Wednesday.

Softball swept aside by Louisville

The Virginia softball team (5-21, 1-8 ACC) dropped all three of its games against Louisville (13-7, 6-0 ACC), falling 5-0 and 5-4 in Saturday’s doubleheader before Sunday’s 7-5 loss. The Cavaliers have managed just one win in their last nine games.

Softball goes 1-2 against Pittsburgh

The Virginia softball team (4-14, 1-2 ACC) traveled to the FMU Softball Stadium in Florence, South Carolina, where it sandwiched a win between two losses to drop the series to Pittsburgh (15-2, 2-1 ACC). The Cavaliers began their first series of conference play with a doubleheader on Saturday.

Softball Earns Split at Eagle Challenge

The Virginia softball team participated in the Eagle Challenge this weekend and emerged with a 2-2 split. The Cavaliers (3-6) earned a pair of victories Friday against Omaha and Delaware State, but stumbled in losses against North Carolina Central and in their second encounter against Omaha.
