Following a disappointing 3-0 shutout loss against Michigan State Saturday, the Virginia field hockey team received positive news Tuesday as it was announced that senior midfielders Paige Selenski and Michelle Vittese would participate in the upcoming Pan American Games for Team USA. The qualifier tournament, which will be held Oct.

Finishing strong

Quickly, raise your hand if you have heard one of these before: "He's a great closer; when the game's on the line you want the ball in his hands." Or, on the other side, "He's a choke artist; he just doesn't know how to finish games." I write this because as a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, last Sunday I was forced to watch in agony as my team blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead, thanks in large part to the struggles of quarterback Tony Romo.
