Former Cavalier star, United coach Olsen stands tall

Near perfect at Virginia, Olsen lacked the championship. On the precipice of superstardom in England, he broke his ankle; mired in one of the most ghastly seasons in MLS history, he conjured up a trophy. Olsen has experienced enough soaring triumphs and needling frustrations to succumb to either narcissism or resentment.

Men's Soccer dominates Pittsburgh, 5-0

The Cavaliers won their fourth game in a row and extended their unbeaten run to six games with a virtuoso performance. Virginia scored its most goals in a conference game since 2008 and held the Panthers without a shot on goal to win the first ACC matchup between the two teams.

Ball State blasts Virginia, 48-27

Defensive miscues and careless penalties gave Ball State (5-1, 2-0 MAC) good field position and the Cardinals took advantage, pulling away in the third quarter as the Cavaliers (2-3, 0-1 ACC) failed to provide many answers. “It was embarrassing,” coach Mike London said.
