The No. 2 Virginia rowing team travels south to Clemson, S.C. this weekend, eyeing an opportunity to defend its conference title and once again exert its dominance against its rivals at the ACC Championships.

Cavaliers crunch Radford, tally record 12th shutout

After sweeping Duke last weekend, Virginia became the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation. The Cavaliers justified that ranking against Radford last night by crushing the Highlanders, 12-0, breaking the single-season ACC shutout record in the process. When Virginia (37-3, 16-2 ACC) hosted Radford (21-15) April 5, the team struggled to score against senior pitcher Cassidy McDaniel.

The No. 17 Virginia women's tennis team recorded two upset victories against No. 12 Clemson and No. 13 Georgia Tech this past weekend to clinch a first-round bye in this week's ACC Tournament. With the wins, the Cavaliers (18-6, 7-4 ACC) set a new school record for conference wins with seven, matched their previous single season win record with 18 and collected the first road wins against top-15 opponents in program history.
