I'm generally not a fan of judging an athlete by how many championships he or she has won. I think that's too simplistic a metric and doesn't take into account a lot of things, such as the strength of the player's team, the strength of the league or much of anything apart from who gets lucky during the playoffs.

London revokes LB

Virginia coach Mike London reinstated redshirt junior linebacker Ausar Walcott to the football team yesterday morning. London had suspended Walcott indefinitely, as well as junior center Mike Price and junior cornerback Devin Wallace, following the three athletes' Feb.

Mitchell records one-hit shutout

The Virginia softball team split a doubleheader against Delaware State at The Park yesterday evening, taking the first game 2-0 before dropping the second 5-3. Sophomore pitcher Melanie Mitchell set the pace during the first contest with an incredibly efficient seven-inning, one-hit shutout.

Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
