A new season has generated a new team for the 2002-2003 Virginia men's basketball team. The Cavaliers have undergone significant structural changes with the addition and loss of several players and a new assistant coach.

But for Brian Vahaly, post-graduation life has been anything but typical. Former Virginia tennis standout Vahaly turned pro upon his commencement from the Commerce School in 2001, and began to add an impressive list of accomplishments to his exceptional collegiate tennis career.

Cavaliers lace up for in-state rival JMU

In the midst of a three-game winning streak, the Virginia women's lacrosse team is ready to take on in-state rival James Madison tonight at 7 p.m. The Cavaliers (8-2) have proved a strong force in the NCAA as reflected in their fourth-ranked standing in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll and standing atop the ACC. Although Virginia will enter tomorrow night's game with a definite advantage, senior defender Tiffany Schummer is aware of JMU's strengths and abilities on the playing field.

Cavs prepare for in-state foe

Following its 3-2 upset victory over No. 1 Maryland on Sunday, Virginia's field hockey team is eager to take on in-state rival, William & Mary, tonight at 6.
