The Women's Swimming and Diving team made blankets for the U.Va. Children's Hospital as part of their effort to support Cure4Cam, an organization raising awareness about humane treatments for childhood cancer patients. 

Swimming for Cam

When second-year College student Shannon Rauth joined the Women’s Swimming and Diving team, she introduced her teammates to the story of Cameron Evans – a family friend who battled with leukemia for seven months before passing away in 2012.

Two of the University's biggest philanthropies pooled their resources and experiences in drawing students and alumni to their fundraising event. 

Fight and Flip for a Cure

Fourth-year College and Architecture student Katie Bailey and fourth-year College student Elizabeth Watson became the co-chairs of Relay for Life last year determined to increase the organization's connectedness with different groups on Grounds.

Christian's offers students a chance to get their pizza fix while out late at night. 

Late-night Corner crawl

By the time 2 a.m. rolls around on an average weekend night, restaurants on the Corner are packed with hungry University students in search of late-night eats.

	Third-year College student Megan Bentzin and second-year College student Isaac Mackey plan to bike from Texas to Alaska this summer to raise money for World Bicycle Relief.

An alternative summer break

While most students at the University use summer recess as a time to decompress, earn money or gain career experience, third-year College student Megan Bentzin and second-year College student Isaac Mackey are looking forward to turning in their last bluebook come May so they can embark on a cross-country biking adventure from Texas to Alaska.
