Students will now move-in “several days” before September 8th, citing concerns related to increased cases in Charlottesville and Central Virginia.
The University announced Tuesday that it is committed to the hybrid model of teaching in the fall and is currently working with other universities to seek a change in the ICE regulations.
President Jim Ryan initially made inconclusive statements, but recently announced that classes will be in person.
Ryan said the University is taking steps to ease the transition to long-term online coursework, but did not detail the potential adjustments two days ahead of the new March 19 deadline to withdraw from a class.
