Virginia baseball's bus crashes in Miami

No players injured, driver in serious condition

The University baseball team was involved in a bus crash Thursday night as it was traveling in Miami to face the Hurricanes.

The driver suffered a medical emergency just after 6 p.m. while traveling on Route 1.

The driver passed out at the wheel, according to WSVN in Miami. The University coaching staff performed CPR on the driver before rescue workers arrived to take the driver to the hospital.

The driver is currently in serious condition in a local hospital.

According to a statement from the University, no players were injured, and the team continued traveling on another bus.
