The rush is over
Sorority rush ended officially Saturday with Preferentials, when women visit the houses they are seriously considering pledging.
"We really lucked out with the weather," said Inter-Sorority Council President Margaret Dumas. "Nothing had to be delayed or postponed."
Dumas estimated about 800 women participated in rush activities this year.
Although first-year College student Emily Chin said she did not plan to pledge, she participated in rush and attended Preferentials at Phi Mu and Alpha Delta Pi Saturday.
"We just talked some more and got to know the sisters more and each of the houses had ceremonies," Chin said. "It's a good experience."
