Beginning yet again

Buzby Tuesdays will return to Charlottesville next Tuesday when the local band Buzby kicks off their Tuesday night concert series. The concerts will take place at 10 p.m. at the Outback Lodge on Preston Avenue. Buzby consists of four musicians and was formed by Brenton Hund in August 1999. To date, they have shared the stage with bands of national renown such as Dave Matthews Band, Blind Melon, The Charlie Daniels Band and Seven Mary Three.

Prizewinner to Charlottesville

"Glengarry Glen Ross," a play by top modern-American playwright David Mamet, is showing at the Live Arts at their lab theatre on Market Street August 2-6. The production, which provides a critical analysis of the influence from American businesses, garnered Mamet the Pultizer for drama in 1984."Glengarry Glen Ross" was made into a movie in 1992 starring Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey and Jack Lemmon.
