We are all deeply saddened at the tragic passing of a very dear friend and member of the community, C-Scorpion. C-Scorpion was everything the letter C stands for: calm, compassionate, cool, caring, kind. We are each missing a small, scaly and slightly hairy piece of our hearts now that you're gone. You know, there's nothing more disgusting than walking down the sidewalk and finding a huge loogey in your path. I think it is so gross when people just spit where everybody walks. If you have to spit, please have the courtesy to do it in the grass.

If you're sitting a lecture hall or on the bus, don't put your stuff on the seat next to you. It's just going to be awkward for the person who comes along and has to ask you to move it. Wake up and realize that you are not so important that your stuff gets its own seat.

The University’s Orientation and Transition programs are vital to supporting first year and transfer students throughout their entire transition to college. But much of their work goes into planning summer orientation sessions. Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
