Virginia to play St. John's in second-round NIT action

The Cavaliers men's basketball team resumes its run through the National Invitation Tournament this evening, playing St. John's University at 7:30 in Jamaica, NY.

Virginia defeated Brown in its first game, 89-73. Ailing senior forward Travis Watson paced the Cavaliers with 29 points and 12 rebounds in his final action at U-Hall.

St. John's reached this round with a win over Boston University by a score of 62-57. The Red Storm finished the season with a 17-13 record (7-9 Big East), including a 72-71 win over Virginia's ACC rival, Duke.
