US sprinter White faces doping charges

US sprinter Kelli White has been accused by the International Association of Athletics Federation of committing a doping offense at last months World Championships. White became the first American sprinter to win both the 100 and 200 meter sprints. However after the races she tested positive for the substance modafinil. The IAAF claims that modafinil is a performance-enhancing drug and have recommended that White be disqualified and stripped of both medals.
