Cavaliers ITA Regionals run ends

The Cavalier women's tennis team participated in last weekend's ITA Regional Tournament where the winners of the doubles and singles brackets will go on to compete in the National Indoors Tournament.

Sophomore Lauren Bruch and junior transfer Mariko Fritz-Krockow lasted until the quarterfinal round of singles play and the semifinal round of doubles competition.

The Bruch/Fritz-Krockow doubles team fell to the Virginia Tech duo of Elissa Kinard and Felice Lam.

Bruch fell to Emily Marker from Maryland in three sets while Fritz-Krockow lost her final singles match in straight sets to Nikki Ptak from Penn.
