Crippen, Kelly earn ACC honors

Sophomore Fran Crippen and freshman Kimi Kelly were named ACC swimmers of the week yesterday after strong performances last weekend.

Crippen was named Male Swimmer of the Week after winning a total of four events in the No. 9 Virginia men's victories over South Carolina on Oct. 31 and Clemson on Nov. 1.

Kelly was named the Female Swimmer of the Week for the second straight week after winning five events in the No. 17 Cavalier women's wins over South Carolina and Clemson. Three of Kelly's victories came against the Tigers, where she won the 200 butterfly, the 500 freestyle, and the 1000 freestyle by more than 14 seconds.
